Message from Phil...
Firstly, so many huge thanks to all of you for your heart-felt wishes, comments and prayers. I have made a fantastic recovery so far (not quite walking yet) and with a few days more intensive physio should be homeward bound. Many thanks of course must go to my consultant, doctors, nurses, physio's and everyone else at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford that has helped me to get to where I am…
One thing that I have come to realize from all of this is just how hard this rehabilitation process is. I have now been in hospital for just 12 days and am only going through a few of the actions really and I still find it tough at times. Our Heroes come home and have months of this to live through before they get to the same position as I'm in…at least my limbs were only broken – NOT MISSING.
Please bear this in mind as we go into the ride phase of our campaign and let's keep focus of the reason that we are all giving this our time and effort.....OUR BOYS |

| It is with much regret we have to inform you that one of the main organizers and riders for the all 4s endurance fundraiser was seriously injured in a motorbike accident last week and consequently is no longer able to take part in the ride.
Phil has been a vital part of the ride organization to date. He and his family have campaigned tirelessly selling raffle tickets, promoting the event and raising substantial amounts of money in their own time putting us in a great position to be able to give something back to our heroes. We are all grateful for Phil’s hard work and sorry he will be unable to join us on the ride and provide us with his great company.
In True Phil (aged 47) style he is good spirits (or was he grumpy?!??) and itching to get home. We would like to wish Phil a speedy recovery and our warmest wishes to him and his family at this time.

Where possible we would like to invite other motorcycle riders to show their support for our cause by joining us for a few miles along the way and perhaps making a donation.
The timings given in the Ride Itinery give you an idea of where we plan to be at given times but at this stage it’s impossible to be completely accurate with timings.
We are planning on having GPS tracking devices fitted to a couple of our bikes that will be linked in to a website so that during the ride you can find us wherever we are and join us as we pass through your area.
There will also be a meeting place (to be confirmed) early on the Monday morning so that we can be joined for the ride back through Oxford city centre. More details on this aspect will be released soon so please keep coming back to this page to check for updates.
Although we are very grateful for all the support we have received so far and for those of you planning to support us throughout the event by riding and donating - we do ask that you please let us know of your intentions to join us on any point of the ride and/or meeting us on Monday 31st for the ride home by dropping a short note to enquiries@all4sendurance.co.uk Detailing your name and joining points. This will allow us to keep a track of numbers and keep things safe for all. |
